White Chocolate
White chocolate is made out of cacao butter, milk solids and sugar, but no cacao solids. The definition of the FDA states the following ingredients for white chocolate:

A short note to the history of white chocolate:
The Swiss company Nestlé invented the first white chocolate in 1930, called Milky Bar. I’ve never had it before, but I would definitely give it a try!
I guess for most white chocolate is a love or hate thing. For me it’s complicated.
Obviously I love chocolate, but I’m not the biggest fan of white chocolate. In a nutshell: too sweet, too boring, too much vanilla. But there are exceptions and I want to talk about them:
Both makers have done a great job! OMNOM created a totally crazy black bar (due to activated charcoal) and added barley. I think you can’t eat much of it, because the flavors are pretty strong but having this bar is an experience, that’s for sure. The bar from Mirzam reminds me more of a classic white chocolate, but the cashews provide an extra creamy and smoothness, still pretty sweet but awesome if you need something sweet to lift you up (at least that is how it’s working for me).
I’m more interested in white chocolate these days, because I would like to create a vegan white chocolate bar on my own. I’m struggling though (see picture below). It seems like I just can’t hit the right sweet spot for my taste. Honestly, I also haven’t put in too much effort yet, because other things are always coming up. But the goal is to create a vegan white chocolate bar that like-minded people enjoy and have fun eating it.
