What to do with Cacao Nibs? Part 4 Hazelnut Butter with Nibs
This is an awesome recipe - really quick to make (which is always important to me) and very versatile. A heads up: this nut butter is not sweet. If you like it sweeter add sugar, maple syrup, honey or any desired sweetener.
What you need to make my hazelnut butter:
- 6 cups or 590g of hazelnuts
- If you like it crunchy you’ll need 1 cup hazelnuts extra
- 1/2 cup or 70g nibs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup or 60ml oil (I used almond oil)
- If you want it sweeter: 2-3 tablespoon of sugar, sugar alternatives, maple syrup or honey
How to make hazelnut butter:
- Mix hazelnuts, salt and nibs in a blender on highest speed level for 1 minute
- Add oil (and sugar)
- Mix again for 1 minute on highest speed
- If you like it crunchy add an additional 1 cup or 150g of hazelnuts and just blend a couple of seconds
Perfect on bread, in yogurt, oat meal and with fruits!
